Juniper Campground (Bandelier National Monument)

Juniper Campground is Bandelier National Monument's only developed campground, set on a piñon-juniper mesa at approximately 6,801 feet above Frijoles Canyon in north-central New Mexico — a practical basecamp for the Main Loop and backcountry trails among ancestral Pueblo dwellings. Potable water and flush toilets are available; leashed pets are welcome. Typically open March through November (confirm dates). A per-night camping fee plus the Bandelier entrance fee apply; America the Beautiful passes accepted. Reserve through Recreation.gov. Photography is permitted. Bandelier protects sites sacred to New Mexico's Pueblos — do not climb on or remove anything from archaeological features.
