BABYMETAL are a pioneering act out of Japan known as a “kawaii metal” group, fusing J-pop idol aesthetics with a heavy metal sound and instrumentals. Featuring Suzuka Nakamoto as "Su-metal”, Moa Kikuchi as "Moametal”, and Momoko Okazaki as "Momometal”, BABYMETAL emerged in 2013 and released a self-titled debut album in 2014. Now with a robust discography of five albums, most recently 2025’s Metal Forth , BABYMETAL have developed an international audience, undertaking multiple headlining tours and appearing at festivals including Australia’s Good Things Festival and Glastonbury Festival. With the release of Metal Forth , BABYMETAL became the first all-Japanese band to reach the Top 10 of the Billboard 200; they’re also the first Japanese act to hit No. 1 on Billboard's Top Rock Albums chart (with 2019’s Metal Galaxy ). Over the course of their career, the trio has scored multiple MTV VMA Japan trophies, including Best Metal Video in 2016 and Best Album of the Year in 2020. BABYMETAL are hitting the road for a massive 2026 outing, which they shared as “the biggest BABYMETAL tour ever.”
