Gold Standard: A Ben Nighthorse Legacy Show for Indian Market

This Santa Fe Indian Market Sorrel Sky Gallery celebrates one of the most influential figures in Native American art with a special legacy show honoring Ben Nighthorse. A Northern Cheyenne chief, former United States senator from Colorado, and master goldsmith, Nighthorse helped transform Native jewelry as the first Native artist to work in gold. Join us on Thursday, August 13, from 5 to 7 PM for a reception with celebrated Native jewelers Ray Tracey, Shane Hendren, and Victoria Adams, painter Jeremy Salazar, and Hopi sculptor Kim Seyesnem Obrzut, followed by an intimate talk from gallery owner Shanan Campbell on the enduring legacy of her father.
