The Mad Hatter Gallery will present “Lonnie Schlein: Through the Lens”, an exhibit featuring the work of former New York Times and Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist and editor Lonnie Schlein, opening September 2 and continuing through October 3, 2026. During his more 35-year-tenure at The New York Times, Schlein served as Foreign Picture Editor, National Picture Editor , and Metro Editor , and covered major news stories such as the collapse of the Soviet Union, three presidential elections, and an impeachment process. Following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Schlein directed all photography for The New York Times. An Opening Reception will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM and an artist talk on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 5PM-6PM.
