It dictates how we intuitively balance compositions, guiding the viewer's eye to specific focal points before active cognitive processing even takes place. Day 1: Foundations & Techniques. All the Basics: Substrate preparation, color mixing, tools, use of paint shapers, mark-making techniques, masking, stencils, brayer techniques, texture applications, paint solvent reductions etc. All levels welcome! This 2-day workshop explores the Core Principles of Color: Value: Dark colors look heavy. Light colors look light. Saturation: Intense colors look heavy. Muted colors look light. Temperature: Warm colors look heavy. Cool colors look light. Size: Large color blocks look heavy. Small color accents look light.
