Shuree Ponds
Shuree Ponds in the Valle Vidal unit of northeastern New Mexico include a small pond located directly south of the larger upper pond that is designated exclusively for anglers aged 11 and younger. A Special Trout Water designation (Green chile) applies, with rainbow trout and cutthroat trout hybrids present; anglers may keep up to 2 fish of any length using artificial fly or lure with a single barbless hook. A valid New Mexico fishing license is required. Managed by the USFS Questa Ranger District and the New Mexico Department of Game and Fish. Photography is permitted.
