Valles Caldera National Preserve
All streams within Valles Caldera National Preserve in north-central New Mexico carry a Special Trout Water (Green chile) designation, managed by the NPS Valles Caldera National Preserve. The waters support brown trout and allow a keep limit of 2 trout of any length; only an artificial fly or lure with a single barbless hook is permitted. A New Mexico fishing license is required. Photography is permitted.
