Game Management Unit 14 is dominated by the Manzano Mountains and a southern extension of the Sandia Mountains in Torrance County, with peaks including Manzano Peak at 10,098 feet and Gallo Peak at 10,003 feet, transitioning from pinyon/juniper foothills to aspen, spruce, and fir up high. Elk, mule deer, black bear, cougar, and Merriam's turkey are huntable, with big-game tags through the NMDGF draw. About 21% of the unit is public land via the Cibola National Forest, with dirt-road and trail access into the Manzano Wilderness; the remainder is largely private.
