Antelope Wilderness Study Area

An open landscape managed by the BLM Socorro Field Office, featuring 360-degree views of rolling desert prairie vegetated with broom dalea and sand sage. The area supports wildlife including antelope, mule deer, and raptors. Access via County Road 153 from Highway 380 (7 miles east of I-25), approximately 1.25 miles southwest then 2 miles on unmarked routes to the northern border. Popular for hiking, wildlife viewing, birding, and dispersed camping on Socorro County public lands in south-central New Mexico.
