Fort Craig Historic Site in south-central New Mexico preserves one of the largest and most important frontier forts in the American West, established in 1854. Managed by the BLM Socorro Field Office, the site offers day-use access for hiking, wildlife viewing, photography, and interpretive programs, and is recognized as a significant historic and cultural destination.
