Johnson (Gordy's) Hill

Johnson (Gordy's) Hill is a Bureau of Land Management-managed OHV recreation area in Socorro County, New Mexico, featuring diverse trails and roads traversing deeply dissected canyons with high sandstone and limestone bluffs. The area encompasses interconnected dirt and rock roads suitable for off-highway vehicles, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, with scenic vistas of the Rio Grande Valley from the higher ridges. Located near Socorro (approximately 6 miles away), the area is managed by the Socorro Field Office and operated year-round with no facilities, fees, or reservations required.
